| Mark McLaren – Business Blogging 101 | This breakout presentation is intended as a counterpart to Aaron’s “After Launching a Couple Dozen Blogs, I Figured Out How to Do it Right”. More and more businesses are using WordPress to create not just blogs but full-blown websites. I will give an overview of important things to think about when setting up a business website with WordPress, including resources and suggestions for plugins and themes. But, our primary focus will be on the differences between a social media (trust-building) approach to Web marketing and a “sales pitch” approach. WordPress works well for either one. The question is, Which one works best for your business? | |
| Mark Jaquith – BuddyPress and the Future Of WordPress Plugins | In this developer-friendly session you’ll learn what BuddyPress is, what it can do, and how to set it up, integerate it, and extend it.
